Before returning any item, email sales@electromart.co.za with your order number in the subject line and include a clear description of the issue and photos if available. Our staff will advise the returns process and whether a return is approved.
Eligibility & time limits
Returns must be requested within 7 days of receipt. Returns outside 7 days may incur handling charges; no returns accepted after 7 days.
Items must be unused, in original condition and packaging, with no damage, oil stains, paint or tampering. Items that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted.
Special-order and promotional items are non-returnable/non-refundable.
Downloadable products and time-based software licenses are non-refundable after license activation or use. Only replacements may be considered when applicable.
Faults, warranty & replacements
All returns must include a clear, detailed description of the defect (e.g., “battery not charging,” “tablet will not power on after charge”). Vague reasons such as “not working,” “faulty” or “broken” are not accepted.
Manufacturer/parts warranty covers defects in workmanship or materials only, not wear and tear. Where a defect is confirmed, we will replace the product. Cash refunds are not provided for defective items unless explicitly authorized.
Warranty is void if tamper-proof or warranty stickers are removed, if the product has been opened, modified or tampered with.
Costs & deductions
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Returned goods may incur handling fees (typically 15%–30%) and/or testing and repackaging fees for electrical parts; these will be deducted from any refund credit.
If applicable, collection and other administrative fees may be deducted from your refund.
Refunds, store vouchers & processing time
If a return is approved, we will inspect the item on receipt. We will notify you by email of approval or rejection.
Approved refunds will be issued as a Store Voucher applied to your account unless otherwise specified. The voucher or replacement will be processed within 7 days of receiving the returned goods (please allow up to 7 working days from date of collection for processing).
Sale items and some promotional products are not eligible for refunds.
Limitations of liability
We do not accept returns for incorrect purchases made in error, software incompatibility with your system, or due to lack of technical knowledge. Please confirm compatibility before purchasing.
Our liability is limited to repair or replacement of defective products. We exclude liability for consequential losses arising from product failure.

Important notes
No returns accepted on verbal instruction or hand-written notes; all returns must follow formal procedures.
Exchanges are only for defective or damaged items and must follow the same return process.
If returning items valued over R1000, consider using tracked shipping or insurance — we are not responsible for lost shipments.
